Learning to be Still

Happy Sunday, everyone!  


How often do you sit down and just breathe?


Do you feel anxious at the very thought of not doing anything?

Well, this was me, not so long ago.


I have been slowing down on social media and focusing more on being away from it. It's a very healthy practice, as it helps to come back to my core values and silence the noise, return to the source, and be still.

Art, for me, is not about how many likes I get (although it feels nice). It's purely an inner journey of exploration and creativity, and everything after that is out of my control. I am focusing on slow and thoughtful practice rather than quick and ego busting adrenaline of doing.

So, I'm making it a practice not to post everything I create, only some things I am proud of, and to be content with where I am in my journey of life and art making. It's an ongoing journey. However, slowing down feels wonderful. I highly recommend implementing this practice into your life, it's life-changing.
